Some are modern metal units: Some are modern with wood: Some are more traditional and wood: Some are more sturdy than others so shop around. Consider embracing using one as an ottoman and the other (smooth top) either as another ottoman or as seat separate from the sectional, perhaps with a light in between and a matching one on the other end of the sectional: either a narrow end table with a tall lamp (thin lamp post) or, alternately, a floor lamp with shelf/table top built in. It appears you have two armless/backless pieces to your sectional. A coffee table doesn't always 'work' with a sectional - which way do you turn it is the problem. Alternately, split the difference: move the rug a bit farther toward the upper right corner and the sectional all the way onto the rug. Try centering the rug in the room away from all three walls and/or at least putting the sectional farther onto the rug - the is to move the sectional a bit away from the windows. ![]() Try moving what you have around a bit before investing in more pieces. With a toddler, you really don't want to crowd the room with any more furniture than you need. Art should represent your interest and be something you value and treasure - not just something to fill the space on a wall or a place on a shelf. Does your ottoman have storage - that's always a plus, especially if the top is reversible with a solid firm side for using it as a coffee table as needed. Unless those are toys needed in the room, see what in that pile you might move/store out of sight. In the second pic, the corner looks cluttered. The color of the drapes seems intended to coordinate with the wide tan armless seat. the fabric need not match the drapes - just coordinate with your color of choice. ![]() You have enough natural light to consider hooking the tops of the pairs of drapes together and investing in some tie backs for style. If you keep these drapes, see if you can reset the hooks or get a different kind of hook so the tops of the drapes are more uniform. If you have a fixed panel with your patio door unit, consider adding a living plant (or maybe not with a toddler). ![]() Really like all the natural light and that you have sheers.
